Visiting the School of Law

Visiting UDM School of Law is a great opportunity for prospective students to learn about our programs, meet with faculty and current students, and speak with admissions representatives. The Admissions Office invites prospective students to several Open House and Preview events throughout the year. Dress for the events is business casual.

Open House Events
Distinguish Yourself:  A UDM School of Law Open House Event.  Prospective students who visit learn how a UDM legal education can distinguish them as a market leader.  During these events, prospective students get an in-depth look at how the School of Law’s unique curriculum prepares students for the realities of practice.  Guests will have the opportunity to tour campus and speak with the Dean, admissions representatives, faculty and current students.

Preview Events
Experience UDM: A UDM School of Law Preview Event. During a Preview event, prospective students will have the opportunity to learn more about a UDM legal education in a small-group setting.  Preview events are limited to 15 guests or less.  The intimate setting ensures that students experience the School of Law community and learn about the application process, and curriculum nuts and bolts.  Prospective students attend a class, tour the building, and speak with admissions representatives, faculty, current students and the Dean as part of the morning, afternoon and evening events.

Webinars
Learn UDM: An electronic, interactive, educational series.  UDM School of Law provides web-based sessions to help prospective students learn about a UDM legal education, the application process and UDM’s unique curriculum.  Topics vary by session.  Interested participants are encouraged to upload WIMBA Wizard before participating in their first session.

Planning Your Visit
The University of Detroit Mercy School of Law is located in downtown Detroit at 651 East Jefferson near the intersection of I-375 and East Jefferson Avenue.  The entrance to the School of Law is located on Larned Street, which is on the north side of the School. Driving directions and hotel accommodations are available.

Admissions Event Parking
All guests attending an event held by the Admissions Office are welcome to park in our Student Parking Lot unless otherwise specified. This lot is located on Larned Street on the School's north side. There is no charge for guests parking in this lot.
