University of Detroit Mercy School of Law second year student Brianna Hines was recently awarded the Hon. Victoria A. Roberts Scholarship from the Wolverine Bar Association.

“I applied for this scholarship because I know the Wolverine Bar Association is dedicated to diversifying the legal profession and because of their commitment to assisting minority law students,” Hines explained. Hines completed an internship after her first year of law school that she secured through the Wolverine Bar Association.

“I believe this scholarship recognizes my commitment to community service in Metro Detroit and my dedication to being a community leader.”

Hines recently completed an externship with the Neighborhood Defenders Service of Detroit. She is currently the Treasurer of the Black Law Students Association and will serve as Vice President for the organization for the 2022-2023 year.
