Career Opportunities Spotlight: Detroit Mercy Law student looks forward to gaining practical experience in summer position

Xhesika Resuli '23 will begin working as a summer associate at Miller Canfield PLC in May 2022, a position she landed through On-Campus Interviews. “I decided to accept a position with Miller Canfield because it is a well-respected firm with many areas of practice, which will allow me to explore different fields of interest in the law,” she explained.  

“I am looking forward to gaining practical experience as a summer associate and working on different assignments. I am also looking forward to interacting with clients and developing relationships with other legal professionals in the firm and around Detroit,” Resuli commented. “The collegial nature of the firm is something that really solidified my decision. I have already connected with many supportive mentors and attorney in the firm.”  

At Detroit Mercy Law, Resuli is a junior member of the Moot Court Board of Advocates. She is also the Barristers Liaison between Detroit Mercy Law students and the Detroit Bar Association.
