Canadian & American Dual JD graduate Jennifer Fahrenholt awarded scholarship from Women Lawyers Association of Michigan
Jennifer Fahrenholt Dual '22 was recently awarded the John Dalton and Mary Lou Peacock Scholarship by the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Wayne Region. Fahrenholt is a graduate of the Canadian and American Dual JD Program which is a collaboration between University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and University of Windsor Faculty of Law in which students earn both a Canadian JD and US JD in only three years.
“I always felt closely connected to my classmates, professors, and the administrators,” said Fahrenholt. “My time at Detroit Mercy Law provided me with a group of lifelong friends and connections.”
Fahrenholt plans to sit for the Michigan Bar Exam in July, after which she will begin work at Kitch Drutchas Wagner Valiutti & Sherbrook in their immigration law practice group. While a student, she was both a junior member and Title Editor for the Detroit Mercy Law Review.
