    Study Abroad

    Detroit Mercy Law students gain exposure to legal studies and practice around the globe through the International Opportunities Program, which provides access to study abroad programs in over 60 countries.

    Teach law in France

    Through the French Scholar Program, a Detroit Mercy Law graduate is hired to teach US legal courses at the University d' Auvergne in Clermont Ferrand, France. The French Scholar teaches several American law courses over two semesters. The courses are selected by the Dean at the University d' Auvergne. The ability to speak, read, and write French is preferred, but not required, as the French Scholar teaches in English. Applications for the French Scholar opportunity are typically accepted by the Career Services Office in January.

    Gain expanded access to international and comparative law courses

    The Comparative Law Consortium gives students expanded access to international and comparative law course offerings. Students who have satisfactorily completed at least one year of law school and are in good academic standing may complete one elective course at Windsor Law for credit toward their degree from Detroit Mercy Law. Requests to enroll in a course through the Consortium should be directed to the Registrar’s Office.
