Detroit Mercy Law invites community to second installment of “Women in Arts and Entertainment Law” series, hosted in partnership with Windsor Law and City of Detroit
University of Detroit Mercy School of Law invites community participation in the second installment, Women in Film Law, of the Women in Arts and Entertainment Law series on Wednesday, March 22 from 6 to 8 pm (ET) via Zoom. This series is being hosted in partnership with University of Windsor Faculty of Law and the City of Detroit.
Attendees will learn about legal risks in filmmaking under both American and Canadian law including clearance issues and cross-border considerations.
Panelists will include, Lisa Callif, Partner at the Beverly Hills entertainment law firm Donaldson Callif Perez, LLP, Tara Parker, partner in the Goodmans Entertainment Law Group, and Lauren Simmonds, Counsel, Intellectual Property at Netflix.
Both Detroit Mercy Law and Windsor Law offer an arts and entertainment law clinic to serve and empower creatives. This series programming is made possible by the longstanding transnational collaboration between the two law schools.
